What companies are investing in medical centers to treat video game addiction?
I know it is considered an actual medically diagnosable disorder by a lot of doctors. So, does anyone know which companies will put the money into a treatment center?

- There is a treatment center. It is called the outdoors.
- Here's one Smith & Jones Addiction Consultants http://www.theage.com.au/news/games/when-play-turns-into-pain/2006/08/09/1154802945871.html?page=fullpage http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8I489R80&show_article=1
- Most places that will treat people for video game addictions vary with all sorts of addictions as well. I have never seen any business that specializes in only video game addiction, but it is not very different than any other addiction.
- At the current time, video game "addiction" is NOT diagnosable (officially) in the DSM-IV-tr or the current version of the ICD. Until that time, it is highly unlikely that any funding/grants would be issued to study and/or treat it. Companies invest in studies/treatment when it is potentially profitable. Until it is officially diagnosable (and then unofficially treatable), the vast majority of companies will not invest a dime in it. ~M~
