Where are the best places in Mexico to go for medical care?

I live in the US and don't have medical insurance. I may need surgery in the future and I want to know where the best places in Mexico are for medical care at a cheap price.

1. Don't do this. People die down there from simple procedures. The medical system down there is not safe at all. I have family down there and they come to the states for any medical procedures they need.
2. Any of the larger cities in Mexico will have to quality health care available at more reasonable prices than you'll find in the states. Both Monterrey and Guadalajara are excellent choices. Mexico City also has some excellent hospital but getting around can be harder. I live near Guadalajara, and we have several world class hospitals with highly skilled doctors, many of whom trained in the States or in Europe. Many doctors in larger cities speak English. I know many people who have had a variety of medical procedures done, from by-pass operations to cancer treatment at a fraction of the cost in the states. Many of us down here are retired. We're old and have medical problems. I have heard very few complaints and a lot of happy campers. Do your research, find a good facility and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

4. don't listen to these ignorants! healthcare is good! but not perfect! most hospitals have good doctors a but most machines are ok! its not the best, but it's not the worst
