- They call the phone number on the back of the card. Or they have contracts with certain companies. They also get an address on where to sent the claims into along with if you have a certain type of coverage for a certain procedure.
- We take your ID i.e. a drivers lic (by law it must be a picture ID), then we also call the insurance company to verify coverage with the other info you complete on your intake form. We have to ensure that you are the subcriber/member of the insurance, as using someone else's insurance is insurance fraud and is a felony. Not worth an orange jumosuit in my opinion, but some people try it. Once it is all verified, we then get an autoriztion number from your insurance provider with other pertinant info such as co-payment amounts, number of visits per year, etc. Once this is done they will give us a billing code to bill the insurance compnay for payment to the doctor. (Or to you as some offices require payment up front and then patient to be re-imbursed at teh insurance rate.
- you are supposed to collect as much as resource as you can by searching the relevant keyword in search engine,if you have good luck there, then your problem solved.however,if you could not find the fitful answer by doing that, here http://www.HealthInsuranceFreeTips.info/free-health-insurance.htm is the resource i prefered.
