Polio
Polio used to be a big problem and because of the polio vaccine it is now not a problem at all. The first polio vaccine was licensed in 1955.
Chicken pox
Well 25 years is still not that far back but i do now small pox was a really big killer . Even 25 years ago people used to get mandatory vaccines or like shots. My mom and dad have em and the shots leave a permanent mark but i don't think babies get vaccinated these days considering the virus is no longer in the atmosphere.
Cystic fibrosis - people used to die really young from it because they'd drown in their own lung fluid, or starve because they'd not digest food because their pancreases don't secrete enough enzymes.
