Health insurance? How can I apply for my own Health/Medical insurance? So from what I hear, once you're 22 years of age, you're dropped from your parents Health insurance. What i would like to know is how i can apply for my own before then, I am 18 years old and right now i just want to be safe rather than sorry. I know full time jobs have medical insurance, vision, and dental as benefits. But please, someone get this off my shoulders and explain to me how i can apply for my own medical/health insurance before the years fly by and something ends up going wrong. Thank you!
is there a medical/health insurance company that specifially is geared towards infertility? see, my husband is self employed and i am a stay at home mom. so we don't have any medical insurance. i'm TTC, but it's getting costly. especially since i moved to a different state, i've only found one fertility clinic, and it cost a lot. before i moved, it didn't cost too much, but now, it is thousands more. i moved to Neveda, and i've contacted their department of health, they don't offer any sort of medical assistance. can anyone help me? thanks a lot.
How small does a company have to be to NOT offer health/medical insurance? I always thought that if a company has 20 or more employees at a SINGLE location, they have to offer health/medical insurance to ALL the eployees. I work in a store that employs 25 people, and only the managers are offered insurance. I live in the state of WV, if that helps, although I could have sworn it was a Federal law, but I could be wrong. Where would I look on the internet to find out this information? I need to clarify a few things...first, my employers own 5 Dairy Queens, 5 car washes, 2 other ice cream places, about 3 oil change places, not to mention the emplyees in the home offices. In my store alone, there are about 25 employeess. What I'm most confused about is, is it when the single location has "X" number of employees that the employer is required to offer insurance, or when the comapany as a whole has more that "X" number of employees? I had to have surgery last year, and because I was not offered insurance, I now have to work two full time jobs to pay the bills. My new, second job offers insurance, but because the first one didn't, and they should have, do I have legal recourse to ask job #1 to pay the bills, and offer all the employees insurance?
Will there ever be a comprehensive home health medical testing kit made available for the consumer? Used in conjunction with a home computer, various devices for measuring and testing the physiological particulars and conditions of the user could be made. Data could then be stored on disc, and made available to professionals. Online, or "live" monitoring could be made by busy doctors a thousand miles away. The interactive 'home medical testing kit' could even serve to provide crude diagnostics, or at least follow up recommendations for the user and doctor. Is this possible today? What type of tests could be made with this "kit"? examples: blood gas concentrations, respiration, heart rate, blood pressure ...what else? Could this take some of the pressure off the national health care system? Or would erred and false testing (positives) complicate matters and end up bogging down the system? What other problems might there be? I hope my question isn't too "pie in the sky". Is it is even viable? To the first poster: Womens' health care, testing and monitoring affords itself well to this DIY technology, and kits specifically designed for women could be made separately. Great idea---thank you very much.
Mental health medical records - what are the underwriters seeing? I have a mental health condition, just applied for health insurance and the underwriters need a copy of my medical records from my psychiatrist. Does anyone know what exactly they're seeing?? How detailed are these records? Do they see all the doctor's notes and everything?
What medical/health issues does your employer have the right to know? I believe that they don't have the right to know anything about your medical issues, like if you have HIV or HEP C. But, what if your doctor appointments interfere with your work schedule? Like once every couple of weeks, at that point must you disclose? Or do you have the right to maintain its for a medical condition and keep it confidential? Do they have the right to demand to know unless you're fired?
How do I get mental and medical health in Northern California (SF) when I have no job, insurance, or income? I have no job due to our wonderful economy. I have no medical insurance. The only income I get is from my aunt and my dad. My aunt is against psychology and gives out her max. My dad is very poor and can only afford to give me $100. If I spend any money on anything but rent and food, my mom and I will not eat and be kicked to the streets. Please help. How do I contact social services? I get no government assistance of any kind. Health and Medical Expenses on my Tax Returns? What can be included as a health/medical expense? For example, doctor co-pays, prescriptions, hospital bills (co-pay included)? Would cancelled checks, old bills, prescription report from the pharmacy websites work?

Can preventive medicine be primary and medical clinics aid our health care system? I believe holistic clinics as our forefront could aid us in the cost of health care. In other words preventive medicine clinics aid us in our health and the medical clinics would be free to assist the more argent needs of our people. This would cut down on minor health problems in the emergency rooms and clinics. The upside would be our people would become aware of future illness and how to care for themselves before it became a major issue. Plus we would become more insightful to our own health care and better educated. Yes, our education systems do not truly assist us thoroughly in these matters.

How can I fight a collection agency that smears my credit to collect a medical bill my health ins. should pay? The collection agency contacted me and to show them that they should have been paid by now, I faxed them the health insurance approval form that authorizes the medical procedure for which I am asked to pay. My health insurance agency should have paid the bill of $750. Even though the collection agency knows who to contact to be paid, they decided to come after me. I guess it's easier for them to come after me, then to fight another agency to get paid. Can I take them to small claims court to take the credit report off my credit history and force them to stop coming after me? What if I ignore them? What will they do? What is next for them? What does disputing this claim involve? Anything to guide me with? FYI, my credit score was something like 775 before this incident.
A health economist established a study to assess utilization of emergency medical care and health insurance.? A health economist established a study to assess utilization of emergency medical care and health insurance. These data have been compiled: 4% of all adults have utilized emergency medical care in the last 12 months. For the pool of patients who utilized emergency care, 80% had health insurance. While for a random sample of persons who never utilized emergency medical care, 50% had health insurance. An adult, selected to be a participant in this study, has medical insurance. What is the probability this individual will utilize emergency medical care in the next 12 months?
Is anyone else concerned about the "electronic health/medical record"? The stimulus bill has a requirement to "have an electronic health record on every individual [Note not citizen!] by 2014". To be use for "biosurveillance --- for Health Hazards." Does anyone believe that medical records will be kept private? Why was this requirement stuffed into this bill? Would you want Clinton, Kennedy, Reid or Pelosi looking at your GYN records for fun, fantasy,or control? To all concerned: Rember Hamlet's words. "..And thus the native hue of resolution Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought, And enterprises of great pith and moment With this regard their currents turn awry, And lose the name of ACTION" Act NOW! To bailie28 -- The military does look. I know several 04-07s who have had their careers affected due to a 'script for Zoloft. To Tim: Yes, they will look. There was an exec at a Pharm Co in IL who used company record to look for dates from the "Guides", young women who gave VIP tours. The Soviet's used med data to control people. IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN which is why Hippocrates made these data a sacred trust. Bewarned. pascha: Going to alternative medice will not escape these data dragnets. This compulsatory collection of data on individuals will be cobbled together by scores of very young programse who too often do not undestand the need for privacy or rejects the notion out right. Overtime government will mine these data to ascertain if you ever took drugs OTC or at a party-- Anti-depressants due to a child of parent/spouse may get your firearms confiscatd. with the small family group, I could even see in a distant future (12-20 years) a virginity tax --- The deflowering male would be taxed $1000 - 10000. Doctors would be required the status of the hymen via school physical. Some may think of that as hyperbole but read up on Communist Rumania used medical data on its young women. Pascha, the bill orders the Secretary to have and electronic medical record for each individual by 2013. Records will be generated at birth, likely to contain the child's DNA, and birth data. Parents are likely to be DNA tagged at time of delivery especially if caesarian. Fathers my be provided a "blood test" to test for cold but used to get DNA. If they do not get you at birth then at school. This is the largest data grab by the US government about its people since the XVI amendment, Income tax, which has in effect made anyone with money guilt of non tax payments until proven to the IRS's whim otherwise. Silence implies assent.
